The Story of Low Country Drifters

How our history became sharing history and more.

The Story of Low Country Drifters is a blend of salt air, southern grit, and deep respect for the water and history of coastal Georgia.

But Low Country Drifters began with a simple truth: Peace can be found on the water.

After decades of military service, founder Captain Bryan returned home in search of stillness and clarity. What he found was healing in the tides, peace in the creeks, warmth in the sun, stillness in the stories, and purpose in sharing that experience with others. The marshes became more than a landscape—they became a lifeline.

Out of that journey, Low Country Drifters was born.

Now retired, Captain Bryan and his wife Stephanie created a small business with a mission: to create unforgettable experiences that help guests slow down, reconnect, and fully experience Savannah’s natural beauty and rich, storied landscape.

Low Country Drifters is based in Thunderbolt, Georgia—a quiet, charming riverside town just minutes outside of Savannah—where life is still tied to tides, shrimp boats, and storytelling.
